Fall essentials!

So as we transition into the fall months, I wanted to do a post on what products I'm going to be loving during this season! I love fall because the weather is perfect (in my opinion) and you get to wear really cute, cozy clothes... and a little bit more makeup! (:

They are a huge trend this fall and a great pop of color with any outfit! And, this pair comes in tons of different colors.. the cut and style is also very cute for fall!

This one is kind of pricey but totally worth it! A great leather jacket is something that goes with everything and will never go out of style!

Style: exciting trends for fall 2011

Above is a picture of the color palette most companies base on their new clothing lines. Im loving the colors emberglow, honeysuckle, and nougat! Im definitely going to incorporate these colors into my makeup and outfits.
While doing some research on fashion sites the last week I think I found what really is going to be coming up in trend:

checker pattern - different mixes and variations of checkered prints in different colors

color blocking - we have definitely seen this trend before and it's coming back

antique lady like lace fabrics - very formfitting chanel like looks that are based on golden chains and lace with a modern twist

Makeup trends:

red lips/wine colored lips - an original fall look

dark blue eyeshadow - darker smokey shadow on the lid and one shade lighter on the lower lash line

lavender purple paired with orange (try icy purple on lower lash line) - orange on upper lid, and purple on lower and easier take would be colored eyeliner

orange golds - bronzey eyeshadows skin and lips, (like the mix of the colors emberglow and bamboo above)

New Obsession: Project Runway

I love this new show called project runway its just one of my favorite things to watch these days!

Fashion: Forever 21 Hit or Miss

Forever 21, a trendy store that is reasonably priced for the quality of its clothes. Personally I find Forever21 a hit or miss store, 5 out of 10 times you find a treasure and the other 5 out of 10 you don't. They do a great job with keeping up with the top trends of runway designers such as the nautical trend. But sometimes I find things that are absolutely horrible or is too childish or slutty like. I think this is because Forever 21 is not known for its famous brand but for the assortment of the different types of clothes they have and that the store is constantly updating there huge selection of clothes. I typically get overwhelmed when I walk into this store and don't know where to start because there is so much to look at.  Anyway I still love to occasionally check in with this store especially for the quality of the jewelry for the price ($1.50 for cute earrings is a steal!).

Fashion Now: Black Tip-ed french tip

I thought of this new way to get the edgy boho look without making it feel like it took all my girl-iness. Although I think many people can pull off the full on black nails, I personally cant, so I decided last night to paint my nails a black french tip! I hope you all try it out too. Its a fun way to put a little edge into your look without making it look too dramatic!
